One of the most eagerly awaited titles by fans of RPGs and those who have had the opportunity to play Dungeons and Dragons is about to arrive. After several years in Early Access, the third installment of Baldur’s Gate is finally here, albeit with a somewhat confusing launch for some. The game has a version for both PC and PlayStation 5, and although both were supposed to arrive at the same time, their release dates are different.

As mentioned above, the release date of this title is different for both platforms. It was at the end of June that Larian Studios announced the changes of the release of this title for PC and PS5, but that both would be different.

One of the questions that the community has been asking is the lack of this installment for Microsoft’s console. According to the studio itself, one of the reasons why the game is not coming to this console is that there are problems with the split-screen on the Xbox Series S. Microsoft requires that there be some parity between the Series X and Series S versions to be able to release a game on their platforms. Larian Studios seems to be working on getting this co-op mode to work on Microsoft’s console.

We have great news for those planning to play Baldur’s Gate 3 on your Steam Deck. Valve itself have given the game the “Playable” tag, and even though it is not the best possible (in that case it would be “Verified”), it does guarantee that we will be able to enjoy the Larian title on the company’s handheld platform.

The only details that seem to separate Baldur’s Gate 3 from the verified pin are the fact that it uses its own launcher, does not include some of the icons for Steam Deck button icons and it needs us to bring up the keyboard manually when we need to write something (using the STEAM + X key combination).
